Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Kristian Vogel completed a Bachelor of Performing
Arts degree at the University of Regina, studying with Karen Finnsson and Jennifer Tenford.
Kristian also studied jazz saxophone with Chris Jacklin and Trent Reschny. Following this, he
completed a Master of Performing Arts Degree at the University of Toronto, studying with Dr.
Wallace Halladay.
Kristian has done masterclasses with artists such as Arno Bornkamp, Dr. Timothy McAllister, Dr.
Otis Murphy, The Donald Sinta Quartet, Quasar Saxophone quartet, and more.
Some of Kristian’s accolades include winning the 2019 Regina Music Festival Lion’s
Competition, 2021 University of Toronto Winds Concerto Competition, and the 2023 Regina
Musical Club’s Recital Competition, among others.
Kristian stays active locally with his saxophone quartet, Reed Aloud, in which he plays Soprano
Saxophone. Kristian has performed with the Regina Symphony Orchestra as well as the Regina
Jazz Orchestra. Andre plays both piano and drums, and has appeared with many Canadian and American
musicians, both in Montreal and elsewhere. Some of the performers he has accompanied
include Benny Carter, Dizzy Gillespie, Jimmy Heath, Benny Golson, Dave Liebman, Don
Thompson, George Coleman, Steve Grossman, Sonny Greenwich, Pepper Adams, Cecil
Payne, Junior Cook, Peter Bernstein, Bob Berg, Rob McConnell, Gary Bartz, Craig Handy, Ben
Monder and Kevin Dean.
André White plays both piano and drums, and has appeared with many Canadian and American

André recently retired from an over 30 year employment as Associate Professor in Jazz Studies
at McGill University, where he taught Jazz History, Jazz Improv, and private instruction in jazz
piano and drums. He has also continued to freelance as a recording engineer and producer.
Originally from Estevan, Saskatchewan, Everett Schwab is a
freelance guitarist based in Saskatoon. After obtaining a bachelor of
music in jazz performance from Brandon University, Everett joined
up with minivandal, a ska-punk/alternative band from Saskatoon in
time to help write and record the band’s second album. While with
minivandal Everett had the opportunity to play around the prairies,
culminating in performances at the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival and
the Ness Creek Music Festival. Everett has also played with the
Footnotes Jazz orchestra, as well as forming his own quartet in late
2024
Justin Hauck is a Regina, Saskatchewan-based session drummer and drum instructor with 20+
years of experience. He has played with such acts as Andino Suns, The Scott Richmond Band,
Keiffer McLean & The Curiosity Club, Del Suelo, The Bromantics, and many others. He has
toured extensively in Saskatchewan, Western Canada, and Germany, as well as recording
experience at numerous studios globally including Ghost City Recordings in Germany and
Sound City in Los Angeles. Justin has over 15 years of educational experience both privately,
and through the Saskatchewan Band Association and numerous schools throughout the
province for both drum set and percussion performance.
In 2016, he graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Arts in Music
(Percussion) Performance. Justin also has two Western Canadian Music Awards under his belt
with Andino Suns for World Artist of The Year for 2017 and 2022.
